Senior Taliban commander, 7 militants killed in air strike
BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan (Courtesy of CJTF-101 Public Affairs, Sept. 23, 2008) – Known Taliban commander and weapons facilitator Mullah Hazratullah and at least seven other militants were killed in a Coalition forces air strike in Tagab Valley, Deh Rawood district, Oruzgan province Sept. 22.
Hazratullah was responsible for the smuggling and distribution of weapons and IED making materials throughout Oruzgan and Helmand provinces.
One militant was also wounded and three militant vehicles were destroyed in the air strike.
No ANSF, Coalition forces or civilian casualties were reported.
