Special Forces Viet Nam veteran receives Bronze Star Medal
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (USASOC News Service Aug. 30, 2006) – A former Special Forces Soldier was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for valorous actions during the Vietnam War in a ceremony Aug. 29, at the Elks Lodge in Fayetteville, N.C.

Special Forces Soldiers honor First Special Service Force vets at 60th reunion
HELENA, Mont. FORT BRAGG, N.C. (USASOC News Service August 9, 2006) – Thirty-one Soldiers from the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) were decorated with honors to include three Silver Star Medals for valorous actions during Operations Enduring Freedom in a ceremony, here, Aug. 8.

  (USASOC News Service August 7, 2006) – In the early evening June 16, a group of about a dozen Soldiers from B Company, 2nd Battalion, 19th Special Forces Group, immaculately clad in full military dress uniform, nestled together in a small basement room of the Schermesser Funeral Home. Above them, hundreds of well-wishers waited their turn to honor the memory of their friend and brother-in-arms, Sgt.1st Class Daniel B. Crabtree, recently killed in combat. Occasionally, one of the men would slip out temporarily to mingle with the guests.
