Civil Affairs training enlightens coalition forces at Bright Star
MUBARAK MILITARY CITY, Egypt (USASOC News Service, Nov. 30, 2005) — In the midst of a variety of weapons ranges, amphibious beach landings from the Mediterranean Sea and multinational airplane jumps, a more relaxed setting provided the scene for a different type of joint coalition training, Sept. 15.

Ranger Regiment receives Valorous Unit Award
FORT BENNING, Ga. (USASOC News Service, Nov. 22, 2005) — The 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment received the Valorous Unit Award during a ceremony here Nov. 22 for actions while engaged in an intense battle during the opening days of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  
Building renamed honoring father of Special Forces
FORT BRAGG, NC (USASOC News Service, Nov. 22, 2005) — The academic facility where today’s elite Army Soldiers study was renamed in honor of a deceased Green Beret who is remembered as the father of Special Forces.  
Special Forces Soldier dies in Iraq
FORT BRAGG, N.C. (USASOC News Service, Nov. 21, 2005) — An Army Special Forces Soldier died Nov. 19 in Mosul, Iraq of wounds sustained when an explosion occurred inside a building he was searching.

Valorous Awards Presented to 25 Army Rangers
FORT BENNING, Ga. (USASOC News Service, Nov. 18, 2005) — Army Rangers here were presented valorous awards in recognition of actions while deployed in support of the Global War on Terrorism during a ceremony Nov. 18.  
Special Forces students train to be SF engineers
FORT BRAGG, N.C. (USASOC News Service, Nov. 16, 2005) — Soldiers assigned to the 4th Battalion, 1st Special Warfare Training Group here continued their schooling Nov. 15 during Phase III of Special Forces Pipeline Training.  The students are inspiring to become Special Forces engineer sergeants.  
USASOC Soldiers dominate Army combatives championship
FORT BRAGG, N.C. (USASOC News Service, Nov. 18, 2005) — Soldiers assigned to the U.S. Army Special Operations Command here dominated the competition during the first All Army Combatives Tournament held at Fort Benning, Ga., Nov. 5 and 6.  
PRESS RELEASE:   Special Forces Soldier dies in Afghanistan
FORT BRAGG, N.C. (USASOC News Service, Nov. 16, 2005) — An Army Special Forces Soldier died Nov. 15 in the vicinity of Lawara, Afghanistan of wounds sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee.  
PRESS RELEASE: Special Forces officer dies in Iraq
BOEBLINGEN, Germany (USASOC News Service,  Nov. 6, 2005) — An Army Special Forces Officer died Nov. 3 from injuries suffered during a combat mission in Iraq.
